The official guide for the "Photovoltaics on the Roof" program available online

In April, the platform opens for applications submission regarding the new program of the Ministry of Environment and Energy "Photovoltaics on the Roof".

The program's beneficiaries are households and farmers that will be able to install their own small photovoltaic, allong with a storage system (battery). The total budget of the program is 200 million euros and the subsidy of the photovoltaic system reaches up to 75% for households and 60% for farmers. The total subsidy of the photovoltaic system with battery can reach up to 16 thousand euros for households and 10 thousand euros for farmers.

Beneficiaries of the program will be able to see savings on their electricity bills of up to 3 thousand euros per year.

Special care is taken for vulnerable households with the allocation of 35 million euros exclusively for them, while a special bonus of 10% is foreseen for people with disabilities (PWD), single parents and families with many children.

The total budget of the program, amounts to 200 million euros, from the resources of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, is divided into four categories:

Exclusively for vulnerable households: 35 million euros.

Exclusively for citizens with individual income <= €20,000 or family income <= €40,000: €85 million.

Exclusively for citizens with individual income > €20,000 or family income > €40,000: €50 million.

Exclusively for professional farmers or special status farmers: EUR 30 million.

The Program will remain "open" until the available resources per category are exhausted.

The aim of the program is to fully cover the cost of the battery and the development and installation costs of the photovoltaic system. For the first two categories, the battery subsidy is 100%, while for the third and fourth categories it is 90%.

Applications will be submitted through DEDDIE online platform using taxpayers' TAXISNET credentials.
