The Bank of Chania launches a REIC this October

The Bank of Chania launches a Real Estate Investment Company (REIC) along with its subsidiary "Kritika Akinita SA" in October, for which it recently received approval from the Capital Market Commission and the Bank of Greece together with the bank.

The initial capital of the new company amounts to €36 million in which the Bank investing 60% and its subsidiary "Kritika Akinita SA" in which the Bank holds 74.46% stake and act as manager of the remaining 40%.

It is been noted that the remaining stake of "Kritika Akinita SA" is being distributed to approximately 125 individuals and legal entities (investors, entrepreneurs, technical, commercial, construction companies of Crete, etc.)

The company has a remarkable real estate portfolio with a total value of 27 million euros, among which the central building that houses the Bank in the center of Chania, the shopping center of 7,580 sq.m. "OLEA" in Platania, Chania, plot of 1,540 sq.m. on Kornarou Street in the center of the city of Chania, an area of 27 sq.m. (partially within the settlement) on the beach of Kourfalona Kissamos, 32 sq.m. in Gramvousa Kissamos, 25 str. amazing view, above Lake Kournas of D.D. Georgioupolis.

Through the subsidiary company "Nea Chora SA" it owns a plot of land of 2.9 acres on the Canary Coast on the beachfront of the city of Chania, near the Venetian port, and through the "Societies" with companies of the "Krommydakis Group" an area of 475 acres .within the Specially Regulated Urban Development Area (SUR) of the Prefecture of Chania, in Platani Soudas.

The Co-operative Bank of Chania was founded in 1993 and today has over 27,000 partners and has a network of 23 branches (15 in Crete and 8 in Attica).
