"The company is committed to implement its major investment plan, taking into account any possible adjustments deemed necessary, in accordance with the decisions of the competent administrative and judicial authorities and the Concession Agreement with the Greek State."

The statements were comprised in a PPA SA announcement following the decisions of the CoC, regarding previous approvals of the Port Planning and Development Committee of ESAL for the Investment Plan (Master Plan) of the Port of Piraeus, which affect the expansion of the terminal cruise, with the temporary pause of construction works.

It is been reminded that the Supreme Court had annulled the approval framework of the PPA Master Plan, arguing that the approval acts were illegal because it had not been preceded by a strategic environmental assessment of the new design, which included, inter alia, its southern extension. of the passenger port of Piraeus, a new land passenger station, four new hotel complexes, the expansion of the car distribution station in the commercial Port of Heraklion and the construction of a five-storey car parking building in the Pier of Heraklion and new warehouses in an area of 80 acres.

Under the agreement last October with which COSCO now controls 67% of the Organization, a five-year extension was granted in order to complete the development projects in the port of Piraeus.
