Papastratos emerges as Philip Morris International's center for 12 countries

The Papastratos company is evolving into an administrative center for the operations of Philip Morris International (PMI) for Southeast Europe.

According to a relevant announcement, Christos Harpantidis, as vice-president of Europe, is responsible for the 12 countries of South-Eastern Europe and is based in Greece.

The company's unique path of transformation-model started in 2015 with 3 countries of responsibility, continued with 5 and from 2018 with 7. In 2023, Christos Harpantidis will lead the administrative center of 12 countries and, specifically, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania , Cyprus, Malta, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro.

The business footprint for the new era of Papastratos translates into a turnover exceeding $5 billion, 3 factories and more than 4,000 employees. This is one of PMI's largest and dynamically developing business areas, operating 2 of the 3 heated tobacco rod production plants in Europe.

In 2023, Giorgos Margonis will take over as managing director of Papastratos, with responsibility for Greece, Cyprus and Malta.
