The property previously owned by the subsidiary company “ROBNE KUĆE BEOGRAD DOO” (RKB) was sold for €21 million, including a €2.1 million advance payment. From the net proceeds of the transaction, €15 million was used to repay RKB’s bank debt, while the remaining €5.7 million reduced the outstanding receivable that MIG holds against RKB.
RKB was established in 1965 through the merger of the companies “Belgrade,” “Nama,” “Grmag,” and “Modna kuća.” By the mid-1980s, RKB had achieved the third-highest turnover in Europe; however, it subsequently experienced a decline that ultimately led to bankruptcy.
In October 2007, Verano Motors won the auction for the sale of the bankrupt company. Together with its Greek partner, Marfin Investment Group (MIG), it paid €360 million in early January 2008, becoming the owners of RKB.
Since August 2022, RKB has been fully (100%) owned by the Greek investment company Marfin Investment Group (MIG).
