A new investment of €200,000 in the center of Athens was made by the businessman Antonis Stavrou of the Kastellorizo Group.

The group's new store is called Mezze Athens and is located on Mitropoleos Street. This is the 15th restaurant of the Kastellorizo group and the second under the name "Mezze" in Athens. The store is approximately 300 sq.m and according to him can serve 75 to 80 people on the ground floor and outside and an additional 80 people in the loft.

As Mr. Stavrou mentioned in a meeting with journalists, the rent at €9,500 per month is expensive but it complies with rent levels in that area. He also owns two restaurants in the center, namely "Omnivore" in Pl. Agia Irini and "Zumbourlou" in Psirri mainly with sweets.

According to Mr. Stavrou, the group's total turnover in 2022 was €15.2 million, approximately €6 million more than in 2021, while pre-tax profits exceed €1 million. However, it is noted that approximately €3 -€4 million of the turnover refers to the activity in fish farming, from which Mr. Stavrou plans to leave. According to him, this is a development which is mainly due to the increase in tourist traffic but also to the mood.
