Intrum Hellas seals the acquisition of Project Tethys

Intrum Hellas -administrator of the claims arising from loans and credits belonging to the special purpose companies under the names Sunrise I NPL Finance DAC, Sunrise II NPL Finance DAC and Vega II NPL Finance l DAC, in the role of sale coordinator, announced that the consortium SMERemediumCap / Latonia Enterprises Company Limited – Athanasios Laskaridis family office / WHG Europe Limited – Brown Hotels was declared as the preferred investor for the sale of a loan portfolio of 72 hotel units, legal claim €254 million, belonging to the aforementioned special purpose companies (Project Tethys).

This is the first sale of a sectorial portfolio in the secondary market in Greece.

It is noted that a key criterion for the selection of the consortium SMERemediumCap / Latonia Enterprises Company Limited – Athanasios Laskaridis family office / WHG Europe Limited – Brown Hotels as preferred investor, in addition to the financial offer, was the expressed will of the consortium to implement significant investments with the aim the competitive development of these hotel businesses and their repositioning in the constantly growing Greek tourist market.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
