The agreement, signed on October 1, 2025, marks the establishment of a joint insurance brokerage company, renamed Vista – Europe Insurance Brokers, strengthening EUROPE HOLDINGS' footprint in a growing and promising market.
The total transaction value amounted to €300,000 and involves the acquisition of 93 corporate shares, representing 50% of the paid-in share capital and voting rights of Alpha Insurance Brokers, headquartered in Bucharest. This move aligns with EUROPE HOLDINGS' broader strategy to build a modern and robust Greek insurance group with an international presence, leveraging both the expertise of EUROPE Insurance S.A. and the group’s specialization in insurance intermediation through its subsidiary NAK Insurance Brokers.
This decision follows the license obtained by EUROPE Insurance S.A. to expand its operations into the Romanian market under the Freedom to Provide Services (FOS) regime, following approval granted in May 2025 by the Bank of Greece and the competent Romanian supervisory authorities. Within this framework, the partnership with Vista Bank—a group with a strong presence not only in the banking sector but also in insurance and financial services—adds further strategic value to the initiative.
The Romanian insurance market, which has historically shown low insurance penetration relative to per capita income, is viewed by EUROPE HOLDINGS as a high-potential territory, especially in light of the involvement of major Greek business groups in large-scale infrastructure projects in the country. The new company aspires to fill this market gap by offering tailored insurance services that meet local needs and unlock new growth opportunities.
