The Total Building Activity (private-public) in Greece, in August 2025 which is calculated on the basis of the number ofissued building permits, amounted to 1,927. This figure corresponds to 462,812 m2 of surface and 2,093,013 m3ofvolume, reflecting, respectively, a 7.8% increase in the number of building permits, a 1.8% increase in surface and a13.3% increase in volume, compared with the corresponding month of 2024.
The building permits for the Private Building Activity issued in Greece in August 2025 amounted to 1,914. This figurecorresponds to 454,255 m2 of surface and 2,055,337 m3 of volume. In comparison with the same month of 2024 thereis an 8.7% increase in the number of building permits, a 2.4% increase in surface and a 14.7% increase in volume.
The building permits for the Public Building Activity issued in Greece in August 2025 amounted to 13. This figurecorresponds to 8,557 m2 of surface and 37,676 m3 of volume. Public Building Activity accounted for a 1.8% of thetotal building volume in August 2025.
In the last twelve months, from September 2024 until August 2025, Total Building Activity (private-public) in Greece,calculated on the basis of the number of issued building permits, amounted to 29,272. This figure corresponds to6,525,890 m2 of surface and 30,101,836 m3 of volume.
In comparison with the corresponding period from September2023 until August 2024, there is a 3.4% decrease in the number of building permits, a 7.0% decrease in surface and a2.6% decrease in volume
