The Municipality of Alimos has issued a preliminary building permit for development works within the approximately 210,000-square-meter (21-hectare) land zone of Alimos Marina.

A total of 17,750 square meters of new building developments are currently in the permitting phase, with architectural design led by the firm of George Tsolakis. The buildings will be two-storey structures, with a maximum height of 8.5 meters, and the overall master plan includes 810 parking spaces.

According to the approved development plan, the administrative center, along with vessel maintenance and winterization facilities, will be located on the western side of the site, near the entrance and facing Edem Beach. This area will also host a hotel complex overlooking the marina.

Along Poseidonos Avenue, the existing swimming facility will be preserved. Additionally, new office spaces, retail units, and leisure areas will be developed. Dining venues will be established along the central pier, enhancing the waterfront experience. On the eastern boundary, adjacent to the Alimos Coastal Park, the Alimos Nautical Club will be relocated.

The exclusive right to use and commercially develop Alimos Marina for a period of 40 years—with an option to extend to 50 years—has been granted to Alimos Marina Development S.A., a subsidiary of AKTOR Concessions (part of the ELLAKTOR Group). The development, including design and construction, has been assigned to REDS S.A., another subsidiary of the Group.

Alimos Marina is the largest marina in the Balkans, offering capacity for 979 vessels, including mega-yachts up to 50 meters in length.

Ideally located just 15 km from central Athens, 8 km from the Port of Piraeus, and 30 km from Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos), the marina benefits from excellent accessibility. It is also served by a comprehensive public transport network, including tram and bus connections, making it a key hub for both tourism and yachting in the wider region.
