AlfaOmega pharma logistics launches advanced logistics hub in Aspropyrgos

The new facility is considered the largest pharmalogistics unit in Southeast Europe.

AlfaOmega’s inauguration of its advanced new warehouse in Aspropyrgos marks a pivotal milestone in its ongoing expansion.

According to the company’s announcement, with the opening of its new warehouse, AlfaOmega reaffirms its commitment to the vision “Inspiring Confidence,” continuing to invest in technology, innovation, and people for the benefit of its partners, the pharmaceutical market, and public health.

The event was attended by representatives of the pharmaceutical sector, partners, institutional bodies, and local government officials, including the President of SFEE, Olympios Papadimitriou; the Mayor of Aspropyrgos, Ilias Ioannis; the Vice President of SFEE, Dimitrios Anagnostakis; Vasilis Kontozamanis, Greece’s representative on the Board of the European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA); executives from National Bank of Greece and Piraeus Bank; as well as General Managers from numerous multinational and Greek pharmaceutical companies.

At the opening of the event, AlfaOmega’s Chairman and CEO, Evripidis Adamou, stated:
"Our new warehouse is the result of collective effort, strategic vision, and the dedication of all our employees. For us at AlfaOmega, success is built on two main pillars: striving for excellence and investing in technology, always with unwavering trust in our relationships with partners and customers. Our people are the key ingredient of our success."

The new facility, the largest pharmalogistics unit in Southeast Europe, spans a total area of 27,000 m². Its storage capacity has nearly doubled, reaching 71,000 pallet positions under controlled temperatures. Refrigerated spaces increased from 1,000 to 2,500 positions, while controlled-temperature areas (15–25°C) expanded from 27,000 to 52,900 m². The company employs 220 specialized staff and collaborates with over 50 pharmaceutical companies, ensuring high-quality distribution of medicines and parapharmaceutical products throughout Greece.

The President of SFEE, Olympios Papadimitriou, congratulated the company on the investment, noting:
"AlfaOmega has established itself as a serious and reliable player in the pharmalogistics sector. Investments like this significantly strengthen the pharmaceutical supply chain and adapt its operations to the increasing demands of the coming years."
