Piraeus Bank launches the Digital Customer Onboarding for Individuals service

With Piraeus Bank's new service, Digital Customer Onboarding for Individuals, the customer can easily and quickly start their banking relationship from their mobile phone.

Registration can be achieved without visiting a physical store, from a smartphone that supports the iOS or Android operating system and has installedthe winbank mobile app.

The service is offered to individuals aged over 18 years old who have a Greek identity card, TAXISnet codes and are liable for tax in Greece. For the successful completion of the remote registration, it is necessary to have up-to-date data in the National Register of Communications (NMR).

The data are being withdrawn exclusively through an interface with gov.gr and the new customer does not need to "upload" any file for identification. The Digital Onboarding process is completed in less than 15 minutes, while identity confirmation is carried out via a video call by a representative of the Bank. The service is provided during extended hours.

By using the Digital Onboarding service, the new private customer obtains a deposit account (salary, current or savings), a debit card and access to winbank's digital service channels.
