Passenger traffic at Athens International Airport (AIA) increased by 14.5% in 2024, reaching 31,854,761 passengers. In December, the growth was reflected in 2,129,148 passengers, compared to the same period last year.

Both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded last year's figures by 6.2% and 18.1%, respectively. Specifically, according to the relevant announcement, passenger traffic at Athens International Airport during December 2024 reached 2.13 million, an increase of 14.5% compared to December 2023. More specifically, both domestic and international passenger traffic surpassed last year's levels by 6.2% and 18.1%, respectively.

Overall, on an annual basis, airport traffic reached 31.85 million passengers, marking an increase of 13.1%. Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, saw an increase of 7.3% and 15.7%, respectively.

The number of flights at Athens International Airport for 2024 totaled 268,301, registering an increase of 11.0% compared to the same period in 2023. Both domestic and international flights rose by 5.1% and 15.5%, respectively, compared to 2023.
