Intrakat has signed a three-year executive agreement-framework agreement with the public company "Information Society" after winning an international tender. The agreement is for the implementation of a part of the large-scale project called "Digitization of Data Archives of the Ministry of Justice". The project involves digitizing over 300 million pages of documents. The budget for this agreement is €9.75 million, with an option to increase it up to €14.7 million

As per the contract, a Digital Repository will be created to replace the current paper records of local Courts and Prosecutor's Offices. The Repository will be linked with the Ministry of Justice's information systems and will be managed by them. After the implementation of this project, time-consuming searches for paper files in local Courts or Prosecutor's Offices will no longer be necessary.

The project aims to digitize the files of various agencies of the Ministry of Justice, including Magistrates' Courts, Prosecutor's Offices, Courts of First Instance, and Criminal Courts. It will involve scanning the files and registering them in a Process Management Information System, Documents and Digital Files, and Digital Archiving (Digital Repository), which will be developed during the project.

The Ministry of Justice will be able to use digitized files from other information systems through web services. Intrakat, a company that will undertake the project, will digitize approximately 40 million pages and provide metadata documentation and improved quality of scanned documents. The project will employ over 130 people and Intrakat will offer free warranty services for two years from the final delivery of the project. The funding for the project will be provided by the European Recovery Fund, under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan "Greece 2.0".
