Extension of rail replacement works on Metro Line 2 announced

According to STASY, the rail replacement works on the Line 2 section “Dafni – Neos Kosmos” will be extended for two days, specifically on Monday, 15/12, and Tuesday, 16/12.

According to a recent announcement, the Neos Kosmos, Agios Ioannis, and Dafni metro stations will close at 21:40, two and a half hours earlier than the scheduled end of service. During the works, service on Metro Line 2 (“Anthoupoli – Elliniko”) will operate on the segments “Elliniko – Agios Dimitrios” and “Anthoupoli – Syngrou Fix.”

Specifically, the last trains before the closure of the three stations will depart as follows:

  • From Syntagma to Elliniko at 21:40

  • From Neos Kosmos to Elliniko at 21:44

  • From Neos Kosmos to Anthoupoli at 21:51

  • From Agios Ioannis to Elliniko at 21:45

  • From Agios Ioannis to Anthoupoli at 21:50

  • From Dafni to Elliniko at 21:47

  • From Dafni to Anthoupoli at 21:48

Passengers will be served on the Agios Dimitrios – Syngrou Fix segment by a temporary circular bus route, X13 (“Fix – Agios Dimitrios”), which will cover the closed metro stations Neos Kosmos, Agios Ioannis, and Dafni. The route’s start and end point is located at the specially designated area of the Syngrou Fix metro station, on Syngrou Avenue, next to the Museum of Contemporary Art.
