The project of the Arsakeio Lodge in the center of Athens will be launched shortly after being freezed for almost three years.

The Legendary Food company, in which the Oikonomou shipbuilding family and businessmen Panagiotis Triantafyllopoulos as CEO and Evangelos Kontzias as a member of the Board of Directors, have recently secured the building permit to start operations.

The investment for the reconstruction of the Arsakeio Lodge is estimated to reach €10 million, while as sources close to the investment explain to ered.gr, the reconstruction of the first Food Hall in Athens will be divided into two phases. In the first phase, the space will be renovated, while in the second phase, the configuration of the individual shops that will be housed in the new gastronomy space that will be created will take place. It is recalled that the initial contract signed in 2019 has a duration of 35 years.

As the same sources say, the building permit now paves the way for the start of construction work, while some other permits from the Municipality of Athens for the start of work are expected these days. The project, as explained by the same sources, is expected to be completed in the first half of 2024.

The contractor company

The contractor of the project is the construction company Exinos, one of the most well-known names in redevelopment projects in the center of Athens. The company was founded in 1999 by Pericles Nikolopoulos (civil engineer) and Georgios Giannopoulos (surveyor - T.E. engineer) with two axes of activity.

The design and construction of buildings and repair / restoration of existing buildings in the historical center of Athens.

Some of the projects he has undertaken are the Historic Cafe "Neon" in Pl. Omonia and the 5-storey preserved building of Chytiroglou in Mitropoleos. The construction company's portfolio also includes the renovation project of the Grivalia office building at Omirou and Stadiou streets where it will house the Eurobank headquarters.

The architectural study for the new Arsakeio Lodge was prepared by Betaplan, while the energy efficiency, plumbing and electrical installation studies were undertaken by LDK.
