Piraeus Mayor Giannis Moralis recently visited the site of the ongoing reconstruction of the concrete road on Spyridonos Trikoupi Street, accompanied by the responsible Deputy Mayor for Technical Services, Antonis Morantzis. This intervention is part of a broader municipal plan aimed at improving the daily lives of the city’s neighborhoods and upgrading the urban environment, with a focus on enhancing Piraeus’s infrastructure.
Mayor Moralis emphasized:
“From the outset, the Municipal Authority committed to addressing citizens’ needs not only through major projects but also with interventions that improve everyday life in our neighborhoods. The reconstruction of the concrete road on Spyridonos Trikoupi Street was a longstanding request, which we acknowledged and prioritized. Work is now underway. Any previous delay, about which I have read some complaints, was due to archaeological findings that temporarily halted the works for three weeks. However, the project is now progressing and is expected to be completed next week, upgrading yet another road in the First Municipal Community. The Municipality of Piraeus continues consistently with interventions on roads, sidewalks, and infrastructure across all five Municipal Communities, following a well-structured plan and scheduling. Our goal is to create proper conditions by intervening in as many streets as possible to provide our citizens with a safe and comfortable road network that improves their daily lives.”
Deputy Mayor for Technical Services Antonis Morantzis added:
“The reconstruction of the concrete road on Spyridonos Trikoupi Street in Chatzikyriakio is already underway and forms part of our city’s road network upgrade plan. We have also scheduled new asphalting projects for all five Municipal Communities. Our aim is to enhance the daily life of residents and strengthen road safety.
