Ministry of Infrastructure Hosts BIM Workshops

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is organizing two Information Workshops on October 22 and 23, as part of the European project “Implementation of the BIM roadmap in Greece, including pilot projects”, in collaboration with the project contractor, PwC.

1st Event: openBIM Educational Workshop

This workshop will present the core principles of openBIM, the international approach to open and interoperable digital standards in the construction sector. The session will highlight openBIM’s role in enhancing collaboration, transparency, and efficiency in building and infrastructure projects.

The workshop will also include the official presentation of buildingSMART Greece, the Greek chapter of buildingSMART International. Operating as a non-profit organization, buildingSMART Greece aims to promote the digital transformation of the Greek construction industry. It fosters collaboration among professionals, engages with public and private sector stakeholders, participates in international initiatives, and supports the implementation of openBIM principles in Greece.

It also serves as a platform for networking and collaboration between public authorities, private entities, and the academic community, with the goal of strengthening BIM-related skills in the construction sector.
