The company is introducing a range of upgrades, including smarter search mechanisms, enhanced points of interest, new payment options such as “Book Now, Pay Later”, improved AI-powered customer support across more countries and languages, and additional tools to help hosts manage their calendars and pricing more effectively.
According to a recent survey, more than 7 in 10 respondents said they would like to know more about other guests before booking. Now, before confirming a reservation, guests will be able to see information about who has already booked and where they are from.
Additionally, guests can send direct messages to other people they met during an Experience, helping them stay in touch or even plan their next Experience directly through the app—while maintaining full control over what personal information they share with others.
Flexible Carousels and Smarter Maps
During the accommodation search process, users are now presented with a wider range of options, including listings that don’t match the search criteria exactly. For example, listings may appear with similar prices, different amenities, or nearby cities with more affordable options.
Interactive maps now allow users to filter nearby points of interest—such as landmarks, attractions, restaurants, and more. When clicking on a point of interest, users see a short description and its distance from the accommodation.
The system also supports more languages. It will now be available in English, Spanish, and French for users in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Smarter AI Support
A new AI assistant can now recognize a user’s profile, booking, or listing and provide faster, more personalized support. It also enables users to take action directly within the chat interface, using interactive cards for common functions like canceling a reservation or changing dates.
Upgrades for Hosts
The company is also launching several highly requested features to give hosts more flexibility and better insights.
One of the key additions is the ability to set different cancellation policies for specific dates, such as holidays or off-peak periods.
Hosts will also benefit from enhanced pricing suggestions and a new revenue dashboard starting in the new year, allowing them to track annual earnings and compare performance across seasons—all accessible through a redesigned dashboard tab.
