The building permits for the Private Building Activity issued in Greece in April 2025 amounted to 2,303. This figurecorresponds to 416,177 m2 of surface and 1,761,106 m3 of volume. In comparison with the same month of 2024 thereis a 17.7% decrease in the number of building permits, a 31.2% decrease in surface and a 31.4% decrease in volume.
The building permits for the Public Building Activity issued in Greece in April 2025 amounted to 31. This figurecorresponds to 5,641 m2 of surface and 26,069 m3 of volume. Public Building Activity accounted for a 1.5% of the totalbuilding volume in April 2025. In the last twelve months, from May 2024 until April 2025, Total Building Activity (private-public) in Greece, calculatedon the basis of the number of issued building permits, amounted to 27,990. This figure corresponds to 6,237,710 m2ofsurface and 28,476,287 m3 of volume. In comparison with the corresponding period from May 2023 until April 2024,there is a 7.7% decrease in the number of building permits, a 10.3% decrease in surface and a 9.2% decrease in volume.
In the same period, from May 2024 untill April 2025, Private Building Activity in Greece recorded a 7.9% decrease inthe number of issued building permits, an 11.0% decrease in surface and a 10.2% decrease in volume, compared withthe corresponding period from May 2023 to April 2024.
During the same period, Public Building Activityaccounted for a 3.3% of the total building volume. During the period January - April 2025, Total Building Activity (private-public) in Greece recorded a 26.2% decrease inthe number of issued building permits, a 40.5% decrease in surface and a 33.2% decrease in volume, compared withthe corresponding period of 2024.
During the same period, January - April 2025, Private Building Activity inGreece recorded a 26.4% decrease in the number of issued building permits, a 40.6% decrease in surface and a 32.8%decrease in volume, in comparison with the period January - April 2024.
