Michalis Tsarbopoulos was appointed Alpha Bank's new CDO

Alpha Bank announced the appointment of Michalis Tsarbopoulos in the position of Executive General Manager of the Bank, effective as of December 1, 2021.

Mr. Tsarbopoulos assumes the duties of Chief Digital Officer (CDO) in the Bank's Growth and Innovation General Division and his experience comes to further strengthen the ambitious Transformation Program of the Alpha Bank Group. 

The CEO of the Alpha Bank Group Mr. Vassilis Psaltis, made the following statement:

Michalis Tsarbopoulos was born in 1976. He holds an MBA from the Simon School of Business of the University of Rochester, NY (USA) as well as a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. His professional experience spans 20 years, of which 14 in senior leadership roles in the banking sector in Greece. During his years in Eurobank he served in crucial roles, most recently as Group Chief Digital Officer, responsible for planning, supervising and supporting the implementation of the bank’s digital strategy, and as Deputy General Manager - Head of Global Transaction Banking. Before that, he worked for the Boston Consulting Group, focusing primarily on Financial Services, and has also served as Manager of Strategic Initiatives in HSBC Greece
