According to an official announcement, the recent installation of two new water tanks further strengthens the operational firefighting network as part of a broader prevention and preparedness plan. This plan is being implemented consistently and in close cooperation with the relevant authorities.
It is noted that the security vehicles at the Athens Olympic Sports Complex (OAKA) and the Olympic facilities in Paiania are equipped with both water tanks and firefighting systems, ensuring 24-hour fire prevention capability.
Each tank has a capacity of 12,000 liters and has been strategically placed to support aerial firefighting operations, allowing for rapid and repeated water drops in the event of a fire.
These initiatives, as highlighted in the announcement, are part of a comprehensive plan to proactively safeguard OAKA’s facilities, which includes:
Strengthening technical and material infrastructure,
Collaborating with competent authorities and agencies,
Utilizing advanced technologies for early detection and immediate response to any incident.
We extend our sincere thanks to AKTOR S.A. for their generous contribution in transporting, installing, and operating the firefighting system.
Protecting human life, our facilities, and our natural environment is a shared responsibility. We remain committed to acting in an organized and responsible manner.
