The new power plant is located at the Almussafes plant in Valencia, Spain. In this Ford installed 2.8 MW of photovoltaics which will be increased by 2.2 MW in the coming months.
The expansion of the current solar park aims to reach close to 10 MW by 2024.
It is noted that all of the electricity purchased by Ford's production plants now comes from renewable sources. The factory in Almussafes has achieved this milestone since January 1, 2022.
